These terms govern your use of Build A CV, provided by Tekinect, [Registered address to be confirmed]. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

Build A CV helps you write, design and export CVs and cover letters, including optional AI writing tools. We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted. We do not guarantee that any CV will pass an applicant tracking system or lead to an interview or job.

Your account and content

  • You must give accurate information and keep your password secure.
  • You own the content you create. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you.
  • You are responsible for making sure your documents are truthful. AI suggestions are drafts for you to check.
  • Don't misuse the service — for example by attempting to access other users' data, overloading it, or using it for unlawful purposes.

Plans and payment

The free plan has the limits described on the pricing page. Membership costs £4.99 per month [including VAT where applicable], charged when you subscribe and then monthly on the same date until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. We will give you reasonable notice of any price change before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel at any time in Settings › Membership & billing.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You will not be charged again, and you keep membership features until then.
  • After membership ends you keep your account and every document you created, and can view and download them. Premium editing and AI tools stop until you resubscribe.
  • [Statutory cancellation rights: describe the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and how it applies to digital services supplied immediately with the customer's consent. Refund policy for partial periods: e.g. “We don't refund partial months except where the law requires.”]
  • Deleting your account cancels any active membership immediately.

Liability

Ending these terms

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, giving reasons where we can.
